The 432-seat performing arts center at Mountain View College in Dallas, Texas, has undergone major renovations, including new seating, upgraded and updated finishes, refinished wood wall paneling, new aisle carpeting and lighting. A new sound system was installed, and the sound control, lighting control, and projection booths were reconstructed. Modifications were made to the rear corridor to create stage cross-over. ADA and TAS standards modifications brought the 1970s-era theater in compliance with the required code. The original HVAC system was replaced, and fire safety changes included the installation of a new fire separation wall, including a fire curtain between the stagehouse and audience. Installation of a smoke evacuation system in the fly loft and the addition of fire sprinkler system over the audience were included in the project.
