Having fun is what Mattel - Radica, a leader in the design of handheld electronic games, is all about. This free spirit was the inspiration for the design of this workspace.
Using a playful color palette along with unique materials and graphics, the design team incorporated architectural features such as an aluminum trellis with colored plexi-glass running over a bold check carpet pattern and a “running stream” floor graphic below. Wrapping the walls of the main conference room is a dynamic mural portraying a larger-than-life lawn, and Astroturf “grass” was used to clad some of the interior offices.
