The 67,000-square-foot expansion to the Laramie County Community College Housing Village in Cheyenne, Wyoming, includes a four-story residence hall and a Commons building and provides student lounges and study rooms on each 25-bed wing. The Commons is a 24/7 hub for the Housing Village and connects the new residence hall to an existing one. It contains the front control desk, business and residence life offices, laundry, group learning / smart classroom, computer lab, cyber cafe / game room / lounge, community warming kitchen and a multi-purpose great room for larger events.  The residence hall is a mix of new apartment suites housing 188 beds with six prototype unit designs in one-, two- and four-bedroom configurations, including the fourth floor clerestory lofts. Each of the suites is designed with a living room, kitchenette and a minimum of one full bathroom per two occupants. The hall provides a living/learning environment which fosters a sense of community and provides life learning experiences for students.
