Four Points Centre
Austin, Texas
Four Points Centre, a 333-acre mixed-use project which has achieved Gold LEED certification, includes research and development, office, retail, restaurant, residential, and hotel components organized around a 181-acre nature habitat.
The design of this two-building, multi-tenant office project capitalizes on and preserves the beauty of the hill country site it inhabits by creating an architectural vocabulary that melds natural materials and timeless forms with modern design and sophisticated sustainable strategies. The two 100,000-square-foot, three-story buildings and their shared 240,000-square-foot parking garage are the first phase of a 333-acre mixed use development. The native limestone, metal and glass clad buildings were sensitively inserted into the undulating topography with minimum disturbance to natural features.
The LEED Gold rating was achieved with a range of sustainable methods including sophisticated mechanical systems, ultra low water consumption, reduced lighting density, preserved natural area, solar orientation and shading devices, and extensive use of latest generation low-e glass to achieve maximum day lighting.
Master planning, architecture, interiors, MEP engineering and LEED services were provided for the Four Points project.
