Bull Run Hall | George Mason University, Prince William Campus
Manassas, Virginia
The Prince William campus in Manassas, Virginia, represents the new breed of academic and private industry partnerships in which academic programs are developed in parallel with the needs of strategic private sector partners. The 110,000-square-foot classroom building includes teaching labs, general classrooms, faculty offices, a television studio and a telecommuting center for the residents of Prince William County. The building is a “next generation” instructional facility, containing provisions for emerging and future educational technologies. Most importantly, the building was designed in advance of a known, fixed academic program, requiring a facility that is highly flexible and readily convertible. Project coordination, programming, architecture and interiors were provided for this facility, which was designed in association with Perkins and Will.
