Keach Family Library
Robstown, Texas
The 15,000-square-foot library serves as both a library and a community education center. It also contains a business development office for the City of Robstown, as well as a café. Designed to house over 24,000 volumes, the limestone building has vaulted ceilings, limestone floors and massive windows which provide abundant daylight to library staff and users.
The library is part of a master plan that includes fairground improvements, baseball fields and community facilities. Sited along a lake, the library was designed to be integrated into the existing development. As the facility is located along a major highway, the 50-foot-high entry tower serves as a beacon, not only for the library, but also for the entry boulevard into the fairground complex.
