Washington, DC (23 April 2010) The new United States Embassy Compound in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, has been awarded Gold LEED status by the U.S. Green Building Council. The compound, which was a design-build project with B.L. Harbert International, is one of one of 15 embassy and consular projects designed by PageSoutherlandPage.
According to the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO), B.L. Harbert International and PageSoutherlandPage exceeded the contract requirements, achieving a LEED gold rating. This is the highest level of LEED certification awarded to any OBO project to date.
