The Children’s Medical Center Legacy, in Plano, Texas, was awarded the American Institute of Architects Academy of Architecture for Health best hospital project in the “Built, more than $25 million (construction cost)” category for 2010. The project was one of only three recognized by the AIA AAH.

HPD has consolidated property and evidence functions into a highly functional 21st century building. LEED certification was achieved through the use of multiple sustainable design and construction practices such as the use of recycled and regional materials and a Thermoplastic roof system.

The design-build embassy project won an Excellence in Construction award in the category of Institutional: $25 - $100 million, as well as awards for Excellence in Design-Build and Excellence in Sustainable Design from the Associated Builders and Contractors, which recognized the nation’s top 2009 construction projects during its Excellence in Construction and National Safety Excellence awards celebration.

Denver-based Carvell PageSoutherlandPage, which was formed by the merger of Christopher Carvell Architects and PageSoutherlandPage, will officially change its name to PageSoutherlandPage as of December 31, 2009.

12.07.09 Renaissance Riverfront Lofts Wins Colorado Sustainable Design Award
Renaissance Riverfront Lofts, the first affordable housing developed by the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless to employ sustainable design concepts, received second place in the Commercial category of the Colorado Sustainable Design Awards.

The Texas Downtown Association honored Discovery Green with its Best Public Improvement award. Project partners were complimented on their creation of public green space that provided residents and tourists a reason to visit downtown.

Discovery Green has achieved LEED Gold Certification, making it the first completed LEED Gold project in downtown Houston. The scope of the certification includes both the twelve-acre park site and the three above-ground buildings: The Grove restaurant, the Alkek Park Building and The Lake House cafe.

The Citi North Texas Service Building, located in Las Colinas, Texas, has achieved LEED certification. The 130,000 square-foot building consolidates Citi’s commercial, automotive and mortgage groups into a single building to leverage the synergies these groups share and to streamline processes.
