Best known professionally for his expertise in programming and strategic planning, Kurt is one of the few registered architects in the country specializing in these areas, and he has programmed and planned literally tens of millions of square feet of space across the United States and abroad for a diverse array of building types. His clients include AT&T, Disneyland Paris, ExxonMobil, the FBI, Frito-Lay, Hewlett Packard, IBM, the IRS, Kodak, McDonnell Douglas, Microsoft, NASA, Texas Instruments, Tennessee Valley Authority, Universidad de Monterrey, among scores of others. For the last 15 years, Kurt has applied this expertise primarily to programming, planning, and managing significant healthcare projects. He has led projects and studies for healthcare clients such as Baylor College of Medicine, Burjeel Hospital (Abu Dhabi), the Chickasaw Nation, HCA, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Texas Children’s Hospital and dozens of others. Kurt is a frequent author and award-winning speaker, having given more than 50 presentations to national and regional conferences as well as international webinars. He has also served on a number of professional committees, including the BOMA/IFMA Task Force on Area Measurement Standards. One of the youngest architects inducted into the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects, Kurt is a graduate magna cum laude from University of Illinois and earned his Master of Architecture with highest honors from Arizona State University. |
